23 Mile Collision has been proudly serving the Shelby Township community since 2000, when it was founded by Shawn Sumner. With six years of experience in the collision repair industry and the successful launch of his first shop, Euro Collision, in 1998, Shawn took a leap of faith and opened 23 Mile Collision. Through hard work, long days, and an unwavering commitment to quality, he built the business from the ground up — determined to prove the doubters wrong.

In 2018, Shawn’s son, Daniel, joined the team. Starting out by washing cars and keeping the shop clean, Daniel quickly moved into hands-on repair work, learning every aspect of the business. By 2022, he stepped into a leadership role, running the shop alongside his father and continuing the legacy with the same passion and dedication.

Looking to expand and evolve, Daniel and Shawn made the bold decision to move to a new, state-of-the-art facility in August 2025. Doubling in size from 8,000 to 17,000 square feet, the new shop is now one of the largest collision centers in Macomb County — a true testament to the growth and reputation 23 Mile Collision has built over the years.

Today, Daniel leads the business with Shawn enjoying a well-earned, semi-retired life. As a family-run shop with deep roots in the community, 23 Mile Collision remains committed to delivering exceptional service, honest work, and quality repairs for years to come.

Great place to work with! They repaired my Gladiator after a collision and then after a deer strike. Both times the Gladiator came back in perfect condition. They even installed an aftermarket bumper for me! I have had no issues with their repairs and I have had it back just over 2 months. I would highly recommend them!

Came in for a deep scratch on the hood of my car. They gave me an estimate and I paid exactly what was quoted. Fit me in their schedule and got my car back on time as promised. It looks amazing! So very happy with the work, honesty and the helpfulness and professionalism of the staff. Definitely would go back and would recommend!!!

I stopped by to get an estimate based on word of mouth that this shop is excellent. Well I can say the customer service with every person I interacted with was outstanding. Sarah is very knowledgeable both in the office as well as the collision part of the business. She was able to provide a detailed estimate on how to repair my vehicle the right way! Nick was just as accommodating by evaluating the vehicle and actually offered to address a few blemishes on his own by telling me to drive the car into the shop. I will be recommending this collision shop to anyone that needs things done the right way by great folks that know their jobs as well as how to interact with a customer. This is rarely found nowadays and it was really refreshing to have experienced it!

Excellent customer service and follow through from 23 Collision!! This is the 3rd car I had to bring to their body shop, teenagers ugh lol. They always do an amazing job and ensure the car looks as good as new when finished. Very satisfied with the entire shop and very friendly front desk. 23 collision customer service was absolutely amazing. I am currently active duty military so my schedule gets a bit hectic at times, they understood and worked around my schedule. My truck looks as though nothing ever happened to it, it looks great. Mrs. Sarah who is the young lady at the front desk was extremely helpful making sure that my wife and was taken care of. The owner son was also very nice and respectful hands down the best auto service I’ve had while living in Michigan.

Our car was rear-ended and we went to 23 Mile Collision for the first time. They took the car quickly and did a perfect job and within the time promised. We were given regular updates and the staff we dealt with were all very professional and always friendly. They also dealt with our insurance company without needing us to do it. They will be our collision shop from now on (hopefully not needed of course!).

I have gone here twice now. Both times have been amazing service. This last time I smashed the back side of my truck (my baby). They were super nice and had great communication with me. Also got the work done within the timeline given. I inspected my truck very closely and it looked perfect. Good as new as if it never happened. Couldn’t have thanked them enough. Hopefully I won’t need more collision work done but if I do, I will definitely be coming back here and would recommend to anyone to do the same.

My car was damaged on the passenger door and front quarter panel. It’s was returned back to me at a reasonable time and price. They did an amazing job!! They even cleaned the inside dash and vacuumed it. Very happy with the service
